Wordpress Plugin Updates
Whilst uncommon, one unintended result of this is that over time compatibility with optional plugins (which are used for adding special features to a WordPress based website), whether free, commercial or custom developed, can be affected. In some very rare cases this can cause your website to develop faults or stop working.
Many plugins are regularly updated alongside WordPress to maintain compatibility, but this is not a foregone conclusion especially with freely available plugins where there is little incentive to continue development long term.
Updating WordPress
Because of this, upon the completion and final “handover” of your website we fully test and guarantee compatibility with the current version of WordPress and all activated plugins, but cannot be held liable for updating WordPress or any optional plugins after going live, and the process after this point is the responsibility of the website owner.

We recognise that not every website owner has the time and/or technical ability to perform this essential maintenance, and so offer a range of optional WordPress Support and Maintenance packages.
What happens if my website goes down or is hacked?
The reason for us having care plans in place for our clients is to ensure that in either of these eventualities your website is safe. We work hard to prevent this from happening. However, if anything should happen and your website requires our help, then we will be on hand. As most of our clients websites are hosted on our servers, we have complete control of everything. If the worse should happen we have backups of all websites to make sure we can reinstate your website as quickly as possible. We cannot guarantee that your website won’t be hacked but can assure you that our security is taken very seriously and everything is in place to make sure it is an unlikely scenario.
